Public Hearing is scheduled for Wed, May 29,2013 at 10AM. Located at Heber M, Wells Bldg, fourth floor hearing room 451, 160 E 300 S, SLC. Culinary Rate Case to be discussed involves the Service Fee being attached to Customers that receive water from WaterPro to their Fire Lines.

Construction Project Underway on Pioneer Street Beginning on April 29, we are replacing a water main on Pioneer Street. Expect to encounter construction crews from Lyndon Jones, our contractor, from Fort Street east to the railroad tracks. This is part of regularly scheduled maintenance of our infrastructure, and we expect the project to continue for up to 60 days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due date is the 22nd of each month

Reminder: Culinary and Irrigation services are not designed to be in concrete.

Water Conservation Still Needed

This has been a confusing water year. As of April 12, the snowpack in our area of northern Utah was only 53% of the normal amount. Yet the previous year’s record snowpack had left groundwater levels quite high and area reservoirs filled beyond normal levels. So do we still need to conserve water?

The answer is an unqualified yes! No matter how much snow we get, we still live in a desert climate, with an increasing population. The necessity for water conservation is a part of our lives, and always will be.

June Events at the Conservation Garden Park

As gardening season comes into full bloom, the Conservation Garden Park at 8275 S 1300 W in South Jordan has lots of events. Here are two:

  • First annual plant sale, Saturday, June 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Free to the public.
  • Home & Garden Club Summer Soiree and Garden Tour, Saturday, June 9 from 6-9 p.m. $10.
