WaterPro: Providing Superior Water for Over a Century (CCR)

Our annual Consumer Confidence Report, which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires all public water suppliers such as WaterPro to provide to their customers every July 1, once again shows that WaterPro’s drinking water far exceeds the state and federal standards for water cleanliness and safety.

In fact, our water is 100 times cleaner than the standard set by the state of Utah, which is .3 NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units), while WaterPro’s water has only .03 NTU. NTU is measured by shining light through water and using a very sensitive spectrometer to measure the light refracted by impurities (turbidity) in the water. The more light refracted, the dirtier the water.

Thursday, June 28th, 2012

Forecasting future water demand is never an exact science, but based on the weather so far this year and the water supply available, we can see that conservation is more important than ever.

You have probably noticed that your water bills for May and June were substantially higher than for the same periods last year, when the weather was cool and wet. This year’s unusually hot, dry weather means that demand for WaterPro’s water is about 15-20% higher than last year. At the same time, the snowpack in our canyons is only about 50% of normal.
